I wore the hell out of my favorite boots this fall and winter, and as a result the heels cracked and wore down to the nail. I love these, the heel is only about 2.5" and they're pointy, very comfortable and cute. I couldn't find a similar replacement and it hit me, DUH! Get them repaired! The time has come. I have to tear myself away from the treadmill and start running outside again. The treadmill is good for my ego, I can put in a lot of miles. Surprise good day. After coming back home from running a bunch of errands in the morning, a friend came by to drop off a wig she borrowed for a party. Impromptu afternoon of champagne and talking. I like my friends.

For the last two years, I've had some kind of hardcore Stats test the day after the big Mardi Gras event downtown takes place. The year before that I had to work late and didn't know enough people. I'm amused at the dress code on a party invitation I received, "Dress to Impress". While I know it means more cocktail and less afternoon semi-formal, the possibilities of subjective interpretations could be fairly comical depending on whom one might be trying to impress.
