I don't even know where this came from. It just happened. If you think it's an odd thing to write the day of your grandfather's funeral, well, you're right.

I am odd, and weird, and, I've been told, a bitch. But I've come to an accord with all that.

Well, I think it's a very good beginning, so I hope it turns out to be more than a one-shot. I think you captured Elizabeth's personality very well. (Be proud -- this is the first piece of POTC fanfic I've ever read!) Are you going to post it on ff.n, or do you stay away from the Pit when it comes to putting up your own work?

As for the rest, be proud of your bitchiness. I know I am. ;-) My condolences on the loss of your grandfather...I hope the escape into writing helped a little.

And I have to admit that I am swooning slightly for messy unshaven bitter Norrington. All the fangirls can keep pretty-boy Orli and even Master Sparrow (I know what you mean about what they did to his character in DMC)!

Thank you for the hugs & kind words. It's a very strange feeling to have someone, even someone you didn't see for long stretches, be absent now.

Curse that Dead Man's Chest for putting all these doubts in my head about the "happily ever after" ending of Curse of the Black Pearl. For making me think that poor Will is no match for the force of nature that is Elizabeth. For the chemistry between her and Jack. For making me think Sparrow + Swann = Birds of a Feather. Gah! Plot bunnies!
