Even though I am probably the least well-read person my flist and thus usually avoid doing book-related memes because I'm weirdly kind of embarrassed to talk about it around y'all, I'm gonna do this one because it's been way too long since I posted. Ooh, I JUST finished (like, this morning) Volume One of Saga, which is a comic book series. Very interesting but extremely graphic. I'll read Volume Two, though, to see what happens next. Next to read is Nora Roberts' Dark Witch.
K. Kinds of Books You Won’t Read
I will probably read anything if it's recommended highly enough, but in general I don't like very depressing books with a whole meaning summarized by Life Is Horrible.

Probably dog-earing the pages. I'm not a believer that books should be held as sacred objects in and of themselves, though. They're meant to be read and handled and so as long as I'm reading it, the physical damage is not as significant to me.

Q. Quote From A Book That Inspires You/Gives You Feels
The flake froze, shimmered. The breath of my words blew it gently into light that flowed the length of the wand. Radiant with a glow too rare to come from any source pure science could reduce to crisp equations, its fires sang to me. I heard them in my soul, in the place where you recognize the right thing to do, even if it's the crazy thing.
That's nothing special. Lots of people see the flame, hear the song, recognize what's crazy-right.
Doing it, though, no matter what you lose along the way ... that's for heroes.
- Gnome Man's Land by Esther Friesner
T. Three Of Your All-Time Favorite Books
All children's/young adult books that I'm sure I've said before but: Watership Down; Julie of the Wolves; Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.

Hah, I just re-read this one a few weeks ago: Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs. Makes me laugh every single time.
U. Unapologetic Fangirl For
Robert Heinlein. I know there are so many issues but I love his stuff anyway.
Z. ZZZ-Snatcher (last book that kept you up WAY late)
One I just finished a couple of days ago, actually! The Martian by Andy Weir.
