We are actually watching other shows besides PB

In fact, we finished up Sports Night finally! While coming out of the show I did enjoy it overall, I always found it hard to get back into when we'd stopped watching it for longer than a few days. ( General thoughts & spoilers )

sports night, linky mclinkerston, flashpoint, misc tv

Huh, I agree that the Dating Plan dragged down season 2, but I thought season 1 was much stronger. It's where all my favorite episodes are. And I don't think I liked William H. Macy's character, if I recall correctly. But I also didn't have the other issues you had with the show (although I agree Natalie was a little too cutesy sometimes).

Huh, interesting. I don't know, I found myself enjoying season 2 a lot more for some reason. Although I watched most of season 1 awhile ago, so. Heh.

Guys. I think Prison Break broke my fannishness.

*patpatpat*

asta77 gave me a blow-by-blow of the final events on chat and we were both thinking of you.

It was kind of amazing. They definitely went out as they began.

It's OK! I still love you even if you don't love Sports Night. *pets* The Dating Plan is the most stupid idea ever, for sure. But the Dan/Casey break up/make up is just. *comes over all verklempt* S1 in general is my favourite, I'd say.

I watched the first episode of Castle! NATHAN! I will be watching the rest and am delighted it's renewed.

I'm a bit like you on Flashpoint. I keep telling myself how much I enjoy it (and I do) but I struggle sometimes to watch. It's possible because omg, does that show wrench your heart. Being home these last few days has caught me up 3 eps but I still have 3 to go (Perfect Storm is next for me). Greg is SO AWESOME. I love him so much. They could have a whole episode of Greg doing Greg things and I'd be perfectly happy.

If Dollhouse brings me more Liza Lapira then I'm sold. I...may have a little crush on her, it's entirely possible.

I would totally watch the episode where Greg does laundry and takes no fewer than eight calls from the team (three from Ed), none of which are actually work related.

I would watch the hell out of that episode. Get on it, writers!

(Also, I'm really hoping it doesn't negatively affect Terminator's chances, which I am MUCH more invested in at this point. *crosses everything*)
That's actually my main concern/thought about the Dollhouse renewal. Don't break my heart, FOX!

I always found it hard to get back into when we'd stopped watching it for longer than a few days.
That's how I feel about it! I was on this huge Sorkin trip about two months ago, whereby I watched 2-3 eps of SN every night, till I was done with season 1. Then I went to Geneva for a week and I still haven't started on the second season.

As for my tv-schedule: despite losing PB, SGA and BSG this year, I still have about 15 shows (24, Bones, maybe Caprica, Castle, Dexter, probably Dollhouse, Friday Night Lights, Fringe, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, HIMYM, LOST, Private Practice and The Office. And if the tv gods love me, you should add Chuck and TSCC tot that list) I'm going to watch. Most of them have short 13-ep seasons, though.

Yes! After we finished season 1 it took us a really long time to start on season 2, and only because we'd watched everything else we could watch on our Tivo. Heh.

I forgot about Dexter! I'm watching that one, too. \o/

I totally get the Sports Night comments. I liked it, it was cute, funny (not as much as I'd like though) and slashy but I just couldn't get into it. I think emotionally I couldn't connect, it was a bit too light for me and lacked character development and a deeper sense of emotion. But that's just how I analyzed for myself.

I really can't figure what didn't click for me, but, yeah, I had the same type of response.
