We are actually watching other shows besides PB

In fact, we finished up Sports Night finally! While coming out of the show I did enjoy it overall, I always found it hard to get back into when we'd stopped watching it for longer than a few days. It felt like a very unfiltered, unpolished Sorkin show, and the dialogue quirks were, IMO, overwhelming to the point of being annoying at times. Also, the whole thing with Dana making Casey go out with other people for 6 months dragged down what was otherwise a much stronger season 2. But I really liked Sam and wish he could've stayed around longer (possibly I just really like William H. Macy - either way!) and the storylines at the last half of the season with Dan and Casey's breakup (aw, they got back together over Seder! ♥) and the sale of CSC were both really well done.

I liked it! But, I don't know, it never quite fully engaged me and I'm not sure why. The characters were good (for the most part; they all had their moments where I wanted to smack them, and sometimes Natalie could be way too cutesy for my taste, though I pretty much loved Isaac unconditionally) and the storylines were interesting and Sorkin got me a little verklempt a few times and made me laugh quite a few other times. But the me + show = OTP spark was missing. I only mention it because so many people I adore love the show so very much, that I feel like the fault lies with me. :)

I'm also still watching Flashpoint; I just saw "Perfect Storm" this morning. This show has everything that should make me totally fannish about it, including a character (GREG) who I am filled to the brim with love for (GREEEEEEEG). And yet I have to force myself to get started watching the episodes every time, even though I'm always sucked in and always enjoy it.

Guys. I think Prison Break broke my fannishness.

But Greg looks like he gives great hugs, doesn't he? And this episode in particular got me very teary, especially at the end. Oh, Greg.

In other news: Castle got renewed! YAY! So did Dollhouse somehow. I really have no idea how THAT happened. I was actually hoping it was over, because we're trying to cut down our shows for next season and that was one I personally wouldn't have missed. Heh. (Also, I'm really hoping it doesn't negatively affect Terminator's chances, which I am MUCH more invested in at this point. *crosses everything*) Congrats to the Dollhouse fans, though!

Right now next year's TV season for us looks like: Castle, Lie To Me; The Office; Supernatural; and Flashpoint. With So You Think You Can Dance in the summer. And hopefully Terminator! Overall much lighter, which I suspect will still be hard to keep up with given the Puplet. *g* (I also know I'm going to want to watch Glee and Treme, but that is IT.)

Shows that are still airing that we're going to drop, unless they do something to drag me back in: South Park (I'm really pissed at them for the short seasons and shitty episodes they've been airing); Rescue Me (I love this show, but I can't take much more; if they promise to just do one more season, I'll watch that); Scrubs (it's OVER ABC - let it go!); Family Guy (there's pretty much no way to bring me back to this one); My Name Is Earl; and maybe Dollhouse (I just...I don't know).

Lingering questions about the Prison Break finale? Matt Olmstead might have answers for you. Very spoilery!

I have a TON of stuff on my To Do list for today, even though I would much rather read the PB finale reactions that are starting to pop up and write my own lengthier version. Perhaps as a reward to myself for finishing certain tasks.

(I really want to lay the song I'm listening to over the last five minutes of the PB finale, though. Just to see. *g*)
