I haven't decided yet how I feel about what is happening on Prison Break. I do sort of think that it might be in character for Linc to agree to work with the Company, especially when he believes it's the only way to save Michael. Linc might have been innocent of the murder he was originally sent to prison for, but he wasn't exactly a complete innocent, either. He basically became a criminal in order to pay off the loan he got for Michael's education, which is what made it possible for the Company to frame him in the first place. And while he wasn't a killer then, he's killed several people this season, and hasn't seemed to care about it that much. So, I can see how doing "just one job" for the Company might seem worth it to him if that can guarantee Michael and LJ's safety for life

True, true. I just can't help but feel that he's been screwed over so. many. times. by the Company so far - by everyone so far - that instead of deciding to throw his lot in with the Company and hope for the best, that he wouldn't just strike out on his own. Of course, he wouldn't do it with Michael still in the Company's clutches, so he could just be playing along until something better comes up. Which...fair enough. I'll give him a chance.
I'm also glad they got rid of the tumor though! That dragged on way too long as it was.
I enjoyed this episode quite a lot, but it still felt like most of what happened in it was setup for next season
Hm, yeah, I can see that. It definitely does not feel as self-contained this season as previous ones have. If only we didn't have to wait so long!

No need for any illusions that will just be destroyed later on. And if everybody is going to screw him *anyway*, he might as well go with the side that can offer him the most in return. Like you said, he can't exactly leave with Michael locked up anyway. But I don't think he's just biding his time until he can get Michael out, either - I think he honestly *is* trying to cooperate with the Company, for now. He's had enough, and he wants Michael and LJ *safe*, and he knows he can't provide that if he strikes out on his own

Though I am confused as hell about what's going on with Sarah and whatever that is floating above her. Also, what does it mean that Alan Parks was a waitress? The last 10 minutes of that episode were confusing. The thing flying above her is a Skynet drone of some sort, but whether they are building them already or it came back through the blue time bubble, I have NO IDEA

Ah-hah. I guess we'll have to see what happens! I agree, though, that I'm looking forward to Sarah getting her placidity back. Here's hoping. (I'm also hoping Derek joins the group again and stops having all of these stories outside of what everyone else is doing. This is what always happens to me; I like a show because of the "group alone against the world" appeal and then the second season they take that away - BSG, SGA, TSCC.)
I can't hate Ellison; he is in way over his head and has a lot of disparate things pulling at him. At least he's trying to do some good here with Cromartie.
Oh, I didn't think I could ever hate on Ellison either; in season 1 he was AWESOME! However, as much as he is trying to do the right thing, the fact that he is keeping things from Sarah and making decisions contrary to her's screams of arrogance to me; it suggests that he feels, while being totally new to the game, that he knows better.
And yes, I want Derek back with the family. I just worry about how the writers will handle that because I think he is going to have to kill Jesse (despite the fact that her motives seem less evil than they did previous), and just imagining the fallout from that.... angst-fest!
However, I don't like it ending with "Obsession." "Serpents" is a better series finale, IMO, and makes more sense coming after "Obsession" than before it. Especially with regards to Buck. Heh. And Ezra, actually. Forgive me for jumping in on your entry, but I wanted to comment on the order of the episodes. If I remember correctly(from what I've read, because I was stupid back then and didn't watch the show when it was on the first time), either the last 4 or 6 episodes of season 2 never aired on CBS - and the original order was to have "Serpents" last, and not "Obsession". The airing dates on the DVD set are from when the show was shown on some cable outlet (Hallmark, I think), and I don't know why they showed them in that particular order

Thanks for the welcome! Like you, I'm a newcomer to the fandom (since Spring)
Even though I'd been to her site before, this was the first time I noticed the interviews and articles, so it was a treat for me, too . Even though the on-line interviews were done in pairs, you can tell how close they were to one another. A more recent Rick Worthy semi-interview (someone at a convention had a chance to ask him some M7 related questions) has him mentioning that they're all still good friends .
At first I was little taken aback at the relatively low key Dexter finale we got, but after all was said and done, I actually appreciated that everyone got to find a little peace by the end of the season. Over the holidays, I'm totally gonna sit my whole family down and marathon S3. :D
Hee, the family that watches serial killers together, stays together? :) And, yeah, it was nice to have a relatively peaceful finale for a change. Next season should be interesting.
Yes, Ezra really does have to make a decision to stay and he did have a good reason to go from the way they were treating him. Just the look on his face when Josiah jumped all over him in the church just broke my heart. I would have just loved another season, maybe resolving the Ella situation. But that is what fanfic is for.

Oh my gosh, me too! That felt way too...like he was trapping Michael. I'd forgotten about that.

Then again, they could be complex variants of the liquid metal cyborgs.

That does make me feel better. It just flows more nicely that way, IMO.
And thank you for the website link - I can't wait to read all of the interviews and articles!

Yes! I am going to have trouble re-watching parts of that episode, I can tell.
