Ah, Shad, hold off on the BASIC. There's a number of bad habits it will bring back and there are better options to do what it was for these days. I would highly recommend Python. It's much more applicable in what it teaches for programming in general and it's easy to learn. A very wonderful beginner's/relearner's language.
Thanks for the advice. The last time I programmed in BASIC was Apple-soft. I stated in MS basic 7 and Quick BASIC, but didn't keep up with it. I finally ended it with xBASE, which was like 20 years ago :).
I've looked at Pylon before, and thought it looked a lot like BASIC, and threw out the idea of even learning it, but that's before life collapsed on top of me.
I'll definitely look into pylon. Any other cross-platform languages that I could learn, that I could create some good programs? I'm no where near ready for C, or even higher-level languages.
