I feel you about dense classmates. I want to do my senior paper about postmodernism and sex dolls and I know everyone in my class is going to think I'm fucking insane. I really hate classmates like ... all the time. Especially when you're in a more liberal major, you'd think "Oh they are open minded" but no. They're just soc majors to graduate, they're not interested in anything beyond cliches. It's easier with profs on your side but still.

Congratulations about moving into coding!! And I have nothing to say about scholarships because I promptly lost mine first semester, I believe. See what parents say, but it looks like you're working a ton more hours so maybe that makes up for it.

haha, that's the shit. i got funny looks when i talked about studying girl scout camp for my geography of sexualities class, but i think that was more of the 'oh my god, all of my counselors were gay?!' variety than anything else. :)
