fairytiger and I wrote a new Leslie/Ben piece, Things That I Absolutely Need. Go and read! Please!

Good news! They've possibly apprehended the suspect in the assaults that have been happening near my home. Except wait, there was an assault two nights ago, and the man was wearing a ski mask and dear god is there another person to watch out for?

Um, what the actual fuck to those protesters hanging the flag upside down. This has to be the most disorganized "movement" in history. I mean, how much more can they possibly alienate the majority of the 99% they say they represent? Fucking idiots.

IDRIS ELBA WOULD BE AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!!! Inspired idea!!!

So scary about the assaults near your house. Stay safe, bb! I actually recently bought a little thing of Mace at the running store near my house just to be safe.

Yeah--even though polls show that a lot of Americans agree with their goals, I'm guessing that those who actually encounter protesters in their home cities are less sympathetic. It's one thing to agree that Wall Street needs reform, and another to be OK with a bunch of fringe groups squatting in the middle of your city for months at a time.

So completely disorganized and it's disappointing because there are basic values there that I agree with. Not necessarily a redistribution of wealth because really, lol, socialism, what?

Wouldn't he? Though I understand why he says he doesn't want to be "the black James Bond" but that's exactly what everyone would think of him.

Oh, I've got some corrections grade mace that my dad slipped me.

Oh and uhm, Parks and Recreation broke my heart last night and put it back together and gave me faith in television, and reminded me that shows can have a soul and a heart and be absolutely fucking beautiful and real. If you'd like to talk about last night's episode (and I would love if you did) let's take it to the comments.

I HAVE FEELINGS ABOUT THIS EPISODE!!

I am not sure I can elegantly write about until I have watched it thoroughly a second time around because they love each other and need each other and sometimes love hurts and I need to see it all over again.

And why have we not spent time together recently?

So many feelings. Every plot myade me cry! Ron and Andy, Jerry and Tom, Leslie and Ben. LESLIE AND BEN OF COURSE.

Adam Scott has this amazing way that he... kisses. God, he just... makes it look so real and so emotional and so EVERYTHING that I can't stand it. I don't get how he does it.

We haven't spent time together lately because YOU AND I ARE BOTH SO BUSY AND IMPORTANT, ak;djbvlaibjvalbjkdvlajrbvg! :)

Ugh, stupid Occupy protesters. I hate the implication that if you're not with them, you're both a right-winger, and "part of the 1%." No, I just think you're a bunch of self-satisfied, spoiled children--mixed in with some professional agitators, old-school Communist sympathizers, and crazy homeless people. And I've actually been down there, so I feel OK saying that!

I'm right there with you. I went down to South Station to meet a friend for lunch the other day and it was mostly just homeless people screaming from the edge of the camp. Now that people are getting arrested for public nudity and dealing crack and a whole slew of other offenses... it's pretty much become a joke.

I mean, for a second there, at the beginning, they had a point and a purpose.

Also, the other night? Tuesday? The whole group marched to the State House. At like 6:30. After most government workers had gone home for the day. If you want to engage in some civil disobedience it's most effective to do so when those you're attempting to impact are still present. Just saying.

Yeah, another day they were marching around downtown at 6:00 or so.

I was down there to meet my aunt at South Station. A 9/11 conspiracy group had glommed onto them too!

EVERYTHING IS PARKS AND REC AND NOTHING HURTS.

That pretty much sums up my feelings about last night's episode. I literally squeed and did a happy dance when Ben and Leslie kissed. My mom stared at me like I was from Mars and it was awesome.

Also, I kind of want to make out with Adam Scott.

Mahahah, RIGHT!? I KNOW!

The way Adam Scott has about grabbing and kissing and being wonderful? I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW HE'S SO GOOD AT THAT!

Also, been meaning to ask your thoughts on Sveum going to the Cubs. They could be a DREAM team over the next few years (finally, little Cubbies, you will have your day!)

Oh God, the head holding, hand grabby-ness is just delicious. His wife is a lucky, lucky woman. That bitch.

Ugh, the Cubs. If they want to think having Sveum will make them great, then I'll let them sit with their delusions.
