You know why the Southie/Dorchester mixup bothers me? So many Bostonians have never been to Dorchester and think it's all a gang-war hellhole. So when a nice section of Dot is identified as a different neighborhood, people's misconceptions don't get challenged.

I understand being upset over that aspect of it, surely. But many of the concerns I'm hearing are, "JFC, Tony Bourdain can't get his cities straight? What an assclown," and "Southie Pride," and nonsense such as that.

I suppose I can understand the mix-up, as Bourdain went all over Dorchester AND Southie.
