I've gotten rather tired of being pissed when I hear about people landing dream jobs and excellent positions and sitting around and doing absolutely nothing to change my personal situation.

And so I went and did this. )

film: halloween, real life: blah, real life: dating is awful, sports: patriots

You should check it out. It really is a great horror film. And I'm still terrified of it to this day.

Thanks so much, it will obviously take some time but it feels gratifying just to take that first step.

WHITE COLLLAR TONIGHT! ZOMG! I already started a new fic, it's so sappy but I needed to write Neal and Peter cuddling for obvious reasons.

The Halloween movies are my favorite Horror movies after the Scream series. But of all of them, my favorite it is Halloween 5. ...and also Halloween 4. It's a tie, really.

GOOD JOB! I'm glad you got your resume out there and that you're willing to take interviews just for practice. That's great, love.

Wow, Halloween 4 & 5? Really? I mean, as far as plot goes, those two held most true to the story, though don't you love how in the following films they sort of drop Jamie like she never existed?

Yeah, thank you. Hopefully I'll start getting some interest from companies and agencies I want to be a part of.

I love H20 as well. It wasn't the best, at all, but I did enjoy it a lot. And Jamie Lee Curtis <3

Yeah, it's pretty weird how back and forth they got with the movies.

Good luck! The market is abysmal, but that you're getting bites is a very good sign. And since you're hunting while you have a job (even if it blows), there's less of the panicked edge to it. All to the good! I will keep my fingers crossed.

I've promised myself that I will go on at least as many dates as it takes to sort of earn my initial investment back.

I lol'd at that. Good luck. *g*

The market is depressing as all hell. The bites are all from finacial companies which is the farthest thing from what I want to be doing, but I suppose I should be optimistic that there's ANY interest at all.

Thanks for the crossed fingers, I need all the lick I can get.

...as for match.com, it's depressing how many adult males do not have a grasp on proper spelling and grammar.

Way to go with your resume! It's tough. I'm doing the same myself, and damn if I'm not stumped on how to promote my skills without, you know, lying or anything. Got my fingers crossed for you!

(For match.com too!)

It's really dejecting, to be sure, but what else is there, right? Hah, I know, self-promotion is tricky. It's all a game, twisting words and experiences to beef up your resume.

Thanks!
