I've gotten rather tired of being pissed when I hear about people landing dream jobs and excellent positions and sitting around and doing absolutely nothing to change my personal situation.

Well, I've put my resume out there. I've gotten a few bites (mainly from agencies and companies looking for financial research and analysis) and that's promising. I'm not a fake-it-til-you-make it type of employee, so those positions obviously will not be filled by me.

But I'll take the interviews, just to hone my skills.

I debated for a long time about whether or not I should include my past and current volunteer experience, as most of it is political and what's more, all of the political volunteer work has been on the campaigns of very left candidates.

Ultimately, I decided that I wouldn't want to work for an agency if they discriminated based on political preference, so I included it.

Mainly because it makes me sound cool.

Cooler than I am.

Right now, I'm watch Halloween: The Inside Story and am surprised to find that I'm leaning things that I hadn't heard about the film before. For-you see-I am obsessed with this film and the culture around it and have likely watched it over seventy-five times.

It's the quintessential horror film. It's slasher but not gory, it's suspenseful without overdoing it, it's terrifying at it's most base level because you don't see the killer's face, don't hear his voice, know nothing about him other than what's fed to us through Donald Pleasance's Dr. Loomis.

Truly a brilliant horror film, and my very favorite. If you haven't seen it (I don't think I've actually met anyone who hasn't seen it, whether they loved it or hated it) I highly recommend it.

Also, fun fact, Charles Cyphers may indeed be Santa Claus. It's incredible, the resemblance.

But damn, P.J. Soles is really making me want to watch Rock and Roll High School.

I feel the need to mention that I did indeed join match.com and have gotten a few emails, most of which have been less than desirable, grammar and intellect wise, but I've also received a few promising ones. I've promised myself that I will go on at least as many dates as it takes to sort of earn my initial investment back. I've signed up for three months, I will go out with-at the very least-three different people.

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm finishing up some pancakes, getting ready for work and probably stocking scrapbook paper while I sweat over the Patriots/Jets game.

film: halloween, real life: blah, real life: dating is awful, sports: patriots
