Hey Beantown, you’ve got it all!

Dec 11, 2009 10:12

Well, Mike Lowell is pretty much gone (not that we didn't see that coming; he'd fill as a DH but we HAVE a DH and with his bad hip, well...) and the Mets are putting an offer on the table for Jason Bay, so basically baseball has made me very sad lately.

A really quick television run down. )

Dude, you should come to Cheesecake Factory tonight! We sorta put this together as a last minute thing and YOU SHOULD COME. But you PROBABLY already have plans because you're such a cool cat.

The Bruins kinda redeemed themselves last night for me with that epic win over the Leafs so I'll let them alone for the moment but I'm NOT happy with the Pats or the Sox and I have a lot of anger for Theo Epstein right now (though not over the Lowell deal because I think that's a good move.).

I really wish I could, it sounds like a lot of fun. Will had a death in his family so we're dealing with a lot of family stuff this weekend, otherwise I would go! Have a drink for me!!

The Pats are ridiculously average and I bet they are wishing they did not get rid Seymour this year. Their defense stinks.

I am waiting to see how the Bay situation plays out...

So it wasn't just me that haaaated Julianne Moore's accent? Oh it's so horrible. Love the character, may I say she's perfect for Jack...until he figures out he loves Lemon ;)

I mean, there were bits of her accent that were spot on, but my Australian friend who's staying with me even said, "That's not what you guys sound like." Maybe if you've split your type equally between the Cape and Southie you'd get an accent like that, but it was really cute of her to try!

Loved the bit about her dating a dude from Southie too, awwwwwwww Boston I love you.

She is TOTALLY perfect for Jack (She changed her status to weirdsies!) until he and Liz FINALLY come to their senses, hahah.

Also, loved the bit about Verdukian; that was a fantastic episode.

I honestly have no idea what people from Boston should sound like but whatever she did with her voice, it hurt my ears.

Agreed. It made me feel all fluffy and warm.

Listen to Mark Wahlberg in The Departed and you've pretty much got it there. Actually, most of the actors in that film had a pretty good grasp on the accent.

And I'm really beginning to love the new guy whom I lovingly refer to as gay Elvis because... he's gay, and he once played Elvis and I never remember his actual name,

I really hope Boston offers something good to Jason Bay. It would really suck if he left. I always thought he was a classy player.

And if you're going to The Cheesecake Factory, you should get the pumpkin cheesecake. Verrrrrry good :)

They ALREADY offered him something good. 16 for 4! That's 4 a year! WHAT IN THE EFF, JAY BAY!?!?! I'm kinda of mad at him at the moment.

...I refuse to get cheesecake, I steadfastly refuse! Empty calories and it always gives me a tummy ache. Besides, others usually let me try some of theirs... so bonus! Three different kinds I get to try and don't have to get one of my own.

Good strategy, right?

Damn you all for trying to peer pressure me into cheesecake! DAMN YOU ALL!

...when I do eat it, I'm partial to the lemon/raspberry one. :::thuds from delicousness:::

I was going to pull things that I love about this, but then I realized I was gonna end up quoting the whole freaking fic. I really love this so much...I think it is my favourite thing you've written for them. Just...LOVE.

[info]lauridsen09 has gotten me into White Collar and I hate her for it. Such a clever, amusing show.

You love me, don't lie. :)

P.S. - Um, just a personal thing, but man, I had a hell of a time reading this entry because of the colours...ended up having to select chunks of text as I went along to get more contrast. Maybe it is just because I have eye issues, but I thought I'd mention it.

Awwwwww, thank you, thank you, thank you! I really felt really, really, really good about this piece and thank you so much for helping me.

I'm on episode three now! It's getting exciiiiiiiiiiiiiting.

Yeah, the contrast on this is a little poor, I've been meaning to fiddle with it.

Ugh, god, I'm dying. This fic was so amazing. It's so THEM. And it is, actually, so US too. There's a specific kind of pain we endure by loving these two, and this fic illustrates that too. Hopeless and irresistible. I don't think a stupid pairing has ever kicked me so cheaply as this one does, you know? OW.

Hey! Also. I was sort of thinking of having a comment fic-a-thon for Xmas in my journal, but then I thought that maybe it'd be a fun thing for eoshippers? Like the porn battle. People submit holiday prompts, and then you post them, and everyone who wants to writes comment fic based on whatever prompt they want. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of participation in the community, but maybe we could link at svufans, and I'd commit to writing one for sure.

Otherwise I'll just throw an impromptu one in one of my journals and see if I can wring a a ficlet or two from my flist, and inspire myself in the process.

Shit! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about ths!

First off, thanks so much for the kind review. I really, really felt this one, so I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

As for the prompt idea, I think it's great, I just don't know how many people would get on board, you know? We tried to do that ficathon a while back and it didn't really pan out, no one posted and it's REALLY close to Christmas at this point, but we can try it if you'd like. Do you have AIM? Can we chat about it tomorrow or has this ship sailed?

Also... ZOMG DEXTER!

See, that was my hesitation too. There isn't really a lot of participation on the comm. Maybe I'll just do it in my own journal. The people who participate most have me friended anyway, and I'm mostly just looking for a prompt or two to write a few ficlets. If someone else writes something, it'll just be frosting.

GAH, DEXTER! I wrote about it in surreallis!
