I've been working on a wallpaper for the last couple of hours and I'm growing a bit disheartened by my limited skills. The wallpaper looks okay, it's not hideous or anything. But it's still incredibly amateur. There's no real composition, no focus. No texture or life to it at all

When I first started using photoshop, I knew nothing about blending modes and used to rely on lowering the transparency.
Heh. That's what I do right now, layer stuff and set to different transparencies. I suppose one of these days I should figure out how to use PhotoShop properly.

Um, maybe you could upload to Megaupload.com or SendSpace.com as a zip or rar file? Or if you've got a client, you could try uploading to your LJ scrapbook/gallery?
