I've been working on a wallpaper for the last couple of hours and I'm growing a bit disheartened by my limited skills. The wallpaper looks okay, it's not hideous or anything. But it's still incredibly amateur. There's no real composition, no focus. No texture or life to it at all ( Read more... )

BTW I downloaded the scree capture program and should be able to do some something for you by the end of the week. i know you said Chris and Vin so I'll see what I can find!

Does it mean I've watched the episode to many time when i can figure out that that Icon cap was from Wagon Train -

I know what you mean - the show feels so new to me too. There are so few good pics of the seven around - I can understand it would be frustrating.

I have lots of textures and brushes for large projects. I like playing around with blending modes. Just let me know when you are available, and I'll make time.

Oooh, that would be terrific! I've downloaded some textures but I don't really know how to use them properly. Hey, do you have some of your art posted? I know you post them as you finish them, like your fantasy pieces, but do you have a gallery or photo album?

Everything I've done for icontests is found here at my photobucket account. Only a few of them are user pics.

Some of my wallpapers can be found here along with some of the textures I use.

The Christmas icons/cards are hereI think all are public, but if they aren't let me know ( ... )

Oooh, so pretty. I've ganked a texture to use on my wallpaper -- it was exactly what I needed! Thanks for linking to your Photobucket, I didn't realise you had created so many icons and graphics. Way more than you've ever posted in your own LJ, I think? Very nice! The Christmas ones especially are awesome :D

When I first started using photoshop, I knew nothing about blending modes and used to rely on lowering the transparency.
Heh. That's what I do right now, layer stuff and set to different transparencies. I suppose one of these days I should figure out how to use PhotoShop properly.

Um, maybe you could upload to Megaupload.com or SendSpace.com as a zip or rar file? Or if you've got a client, you could try uploading to your LJ scrapbook/gallery?
