When you meet someone new, do you ever just want to say, "I'm not usually this ugly. Really. This is just a temporary thing."

Strangely, my supposed ugliness isn't getting me down. It just makes me have less faith in finding a boy.

I'm trying really hard to not feel shallow for this post.

I always /liked/ it when I hooked up with people I trained with or something, because they'd already seen me sweaty and without make up and messy hair and in sweats and t-shirts and stupid spandex. I thought of it as a screening process. "If you like me like this, wait till you see me when I'm put together!" kind of thing.

I know it's not helpful to hear from outside yourself, and it only helps when you're thinking it, but; you're very beautiful, and you will not spend your life alone.
