So it looks like I've got Lyme disease. Dr. Ellis sent off some of my blood to a lab in Florida today and I'll have the results back on Wednesday but he's pretty certain I have it. This will mean a year of antibiotics - three different kinds - and other things. It's scary and I'm scared ( Read more... )

If you catch it early, Lyme disease isn't too too scary. I'm crossing my fingers for you. *hugs*

I had it when I ws 5 and also when I was 7. My dad and sister have each had it once and my mom twice. I was treated at the time, but the more research they do, the more they find that 20 days of antibiotics just doesn't cut it and that the disease has three different forms so it can hide from antibiotics.
