Therefore: a Ghazal .  Please go read about this form of poetry before reading my attempt. I hope I did it justice.

For my Annie, my inspiration, my love.

My love pays no mind to my hesitance

and easily slips through cautious fingers.

Charm enters - a beautiful thief - then leaves,

affections in surreptitious fingers.

Baby, it's beautiful...I'd expect nothing less from you (of course). This is one of those moments where words fail me (but in a good way).

As an English teacher, I must add---you did a wonderful job with the form, structure and meter, as well. :)

I really liekd this. I thought it was vbeautiful. Ihave been out of commission for a bit, so I am catching up on friends' posts now. Blarg. Great poem.
