Hi Scribble, I have somewhat of a newbie question for you, and I really hope you can help me!

I was directed to your journal by aeto, because I would really like to know where you got the lovely fur for this clouded leopard. I’ve been trying like crazy to find the right fur for a project of mine, so far without luck, but this fur looks really close to what I had in mind, colour-wise. aeto thought the fur might have come from the Monterey Mills online fabric store, but wasn’t sure. Is this correct, and if so, what’s the name of the fur?

I hope you won’t mind my asking. Thank you for your time! :}

Aeto is right. That right is one of the main furs from Monterey Mills - cubby nutmeg. It isn't naturally clouded leopard looking tho; the markings were custom airbrushed for this suit.

I hope that helps! :)

Thank you, this is incredibly helpful! I really appreciate your taking the time to answer my question, it’s awesome that you’ll help out a newbie fursuiter such as myself. Thanks! :)

I’m hoping to make a cheetah fursuit myself (my first), but I’ve been struggling to find the right colour fur. I hadn’t even considered some of the darker-looking furs, thinking they would be too brown for a cheetah, but looking as this leopard of yours I’ll definitely check out the Monterey fur.

This is an incredibly beautiful fursuit and I am in complete awe of your talent; this is hands down the best leopard suit I’ve ever seen. I’ll be delighted if I can make something even half as good as this. Thanks for sharing the photos!
