[Chuckle.]

I'd say "still good" depends on how well you digest radioisotopes.

I have a much higher tolerance. It changed the taste a little, but it's still good!

It's all well and good until you develop stomach cancer in 30 years.

Huh? No, no, I can't get cancer. No one gets cancer anymore, unless it's in a lab for experiments, but I'm not that type.

Sounds... delicious?

[Yeaaaah]

Well hey, I actually recognize the names of some of those. They're the elements, right?

[He actually paid some attention in Chemistry, yeah]

Elements? No, no. That poem was a mnemonic device to remember amino acid abbreviations and structures! I can sing you the element song if you want.

[Watch B be helpful!]

[Awh darn it! He was sure he actually remembered that shit. Guess not]

What's "alanine" and "cysteine" and... all those things?

screwyoubob May 24 2009, 04:16:37 UTC
They're amino acid abbreviations and structures, Lily.

[Are you ready for science time, Lily? I bet you are!]

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and enzymes, and proteins are the things you're pretty much made out of! Muscle is all protein, your hair, skin, nails stomach juices, they're all made out of enzymes and proteins! Even your eyes! The lens of our eyes is pure crytalline protein! Isn't that awesome?
