It's kind of high and nasal and sounds really forced, and you can tell he's reciting/reading a script. It just bothers me.

Considering that I find Sieg pretty awful as a person, I kind of like Shairah. Her lack of duplicity in private is, unlike Sieg, paired with actual competence. The Mage Lord and his son, on the other hand... eh, judgement reserved for now.

Actually, carrying on from that, I wonder if the informality vs. formality undercurrent is another aspect of the freedom vs. destiny theme.

Yeah, Luvais doesn't seem all that inconspicuous as a spy, does he? Maybe he's a sort of double, triple, universal agent, leaking information on all sides to all sides with the result that he can pass anywhere unhindered.

Danash's first two wives are pretty interesting ladies and have some hella cool hidden depths. Kureyah less so than Shairah and Rizwan, but she's not without some twists (and hilariously inconsistent name pronunciations) of her own, either. That and "I still wish Marica had been Tenkai Star" are all I will say about this subject right now.

I don't really think so. It's not brought up enough times aside from here, and there are plenty of polite and formal people on the good guys' side, too.

Considering my fancrush from last game, I do not feel like I'm allowed to make fun of the conspicuousness of Luvais's hat. Just how funny I think it is. :::PPP But I will say, based on late-game info, that leaking info to ALL sides would be a bit out of character for him.

I have to agree, Chrodechild sounds terrible in English. I can take Liu and Shams, but I much prefer all three in Japanese (it doesn't help that Shams has my favorite Japanese voice actress). Also, Dirk is just awful in English, but he's also very lackluster in Japanese; the only thing about him I liked was his ENGLISH evil laugh at the window scene. XD It was fantastic.

I managed to find a full English cast list for the series, and I'm never getting over the fact Roberto's English voice actor is a woman. XD It's Julie Lemieux, i.e. Funshine Bear out of all things ( ... )
