The game's really making the most out of those pillar puzzles, isn't it? But so it should; mechanics are there to be used to the full. Or else you're losing the argument of cheap apps vs. full games.

Yeah, the Towers were a good opportunity to throw a bunch of puzzles at people, definitely. I think Redemption did have the best puzzle; or maybe I'm just happy I was able to solve it. xD

We play hex, because on the end of game, we can "buy" some bonuses:

for example:

90 HEX cards = NEW GAME with current stats.
100 HEX cards = EXTRA CHALLENGE

Now, did you play all this before fighting the final boss ?
At least one screen gives up a clue telling me that you entered the final dungeon...

Also, Randolph's best weapon doesn't requires a fight. I forgot about this one.

But that's so cruel to have to exchange unique tiles against such items. I couldn't resolve to exchange even of them. :p
(And I did the same with the Triple Triad in Final Fantasy 8. That made for an interesting final boss fight.)
