Oh boy.
Okay, so... I think everyone's used to long waits between updates by now, but I feel the need to apologize for this one. I'm not going to check to see just how long it was, but the basic answer is 'way too long'. In my defense, I was without internet for over two months, but... yeah.
In any case, a brief update on where we were - (
spoilers )

Lemuria! I remember that from my Golden Sun days. I haven't played Dark Dawn yet, but I assume I'll be revisiting it myself before too long.
The blue/red switch mechanic reminds me of Zelda, especially the Gameboy games.
And of course, the ancients always have the best technology, inexplicably lost even to the most secret of legends. It's still a pretty cool trope, though. I assume our heroes are going to come into possession of this airship eventually... maybe, anyway. You had to destroy the villains' airship in Final Fantasy 2, despite its coolness.
Just as a question, how far through the game would you estimate we are now?

The switches are pretty Zelda; reminds me of Link's Awakening, with those crystal switches and all...
Naturally the most advanced technology comes from thousands of years ago; this is a video game.
We're pretty close to the end of the game; my estimate is six more updates, including sidequests.

A boring dungeon. I liked the switches, but it doesn't add anything to the story, Castor flee once again. The game is a bit boring at that point.
Tough I like the story with Ethan and Randolph. I nearly cried at the conclusion (in the next update probably).
