Thanks! :) I read in the newspaper that Petra got into Dumaguete, which is wonderful! Please tell her congratulations from me. Haha. Also, are you still writing, I hope you are still writing because I really like your writing. XD
I AM KIND OF IN A RUT. WHAT DO I DO. Incidentally, I read your reworking of that Norse myth a couple of months back; I'm not sure if I left a review but I really liked it. Also, I just read Atwood's "The Penelopiad" and it reminded me a lot of your story. I don't know if it's because both are reworkings of myths, but I just thought I'd mention it :)
I haven't read anything by Atwood yet. =/ There are a lot of incredibly good authors that I have not read anything by yet. What are her other good books? 8D Or, like, which one would you recommend I read first?
I am really a sucker for retelling. It is one of the things I most enjoy writing, even if sometimes it can be seen as indulgent/unoriginal, so I'm really glad you enjoyed that Norse one. -^^-
For some reason, ruts come at the worst time (ie when you actually have time). D: Usually when I'm blocked-ish I leech inspiration off other things, like a really good movie or a really good book. Sometimes it can just get distracting, though. x_x But I'm sure you'll manage something eventually!
PS I stopped playing Wii Bowling when I turned Pro, because apparently they can deduct points from you. What the hell. Now I'm scared of losing Pro status. :/ PPS Omg, Nuriko. ♥ I used to ship Nuriko/Hotohori before I even learned "ship" was not just a seafaring vessel, haha.
Thankies :D Also, I know, the last time I played Bowling I got -6 points and I was like w-w-whyyy D: Yun pala you have to get crazy scores each time, like All Strikes and stuff. Maybe I'll stop playing when I finally reach Pro. XD It's so near naaa!
And yes, Nuriko! I love that guy, why did he have to die (his death made me cry. Seriously.) Also, I was totally confused about the term ship, too. I don't even know when I actually figured it out.
looking back, i can't believe we'd all watch fushigi yuugi when we were 10. well, i guess it's good that my younger self didn't discover it any earlier. i liked tasuki, though. even if he sort of fell in love with miaka, too. i hated how so many of them fell in love with miaka. even amiboshi! and yeah, no matter how weird fushigi yuugi is and all, i can't find it inside myself to hate it. and yes omg shiineeeee.
Yeah. It was really weird. XD Especially now that I'm older than the characters, and I'm like, guh, Miaka was just 15?! Although when I was a kid it didn't seem too horrible. Actually, a lot of the characters were really good. OMG Amiboshi is a traitor, how dare he betray Seiryuu like that! Thank god Suboshi didn't fall in love with her.
I always felt sorry for Shiine. Liking ChaCha so much when she so obviously prefers Riiya. D: *offers Shiine a hug* Even if I thought he was a girl the first few times I watched it.
And thanks about UST! 8D Hopefully I will not seem so horribly conyo to the people there. It is one of my fears. Hahaha.
Although when I was a kid it didn't seem too horrible. --- yeah, that is so true. but now, it's like, how could i have watched this back then? and yeah, thank god suboshi didn't fall in love with miaka, but then he was all psychotically in love with yui. hahahaha.
aaw, now i miss akazukin chacha.
i don't think you will! well, actually, i still don't fully understand what conyo is. (even if my coursemates call me conyo. hahaha.) but from what i understand, i don't think you're conyo.
deng. this post made me realize how much of a poser i am. i only know L because of the movie. i only know Shin because of L boy and Hongo Kanata in the movies. and i only know Nuriko because i watched Fushigi dubbed in tagalog as a skwater child.
I liked Fushigi Yuugi better in Tagalog than in English. XD Although I guess both dubs were pretty bad. HAHAHA. I didn't like how they made L's actor do Shin in the first NANA movie. Not bagayyy! Even if I loved him as L. I haven't seen the second NANA so I don't know if the Shin was more bagay, but he's supposed to be younger and more prettyboyful.
I'm sorry. Fushigi Yuugi was part of my childhood and it's part of who I am now. no, not a whoremoanal pervert, but whatevs.
The story seemed so fascinating and epic when I was younger! But when I rewatched it about a year ago or something, I was like.. holy crap they were FIFTEEN? And they were all falling for MIAKA? UGH.
But, you know, i've always loved Nuriko. He had purple hair. And he makes me believe that it's even possible for gay guys to have feelings for girls.
oh wait, we're talking about anime, not real life.
I hug you, Gine. *hugs* Don't worry, things will work out.
And yeah, Nuriko! Purple hair and a mole. Favorite character from that series, which I invested a lot of my childhood (HAH, childhood) in. I cried so much when he died! And the story is pretty epic! Even if the bitchy-rival-friend thing seems so trite now. I can't believe they started a war just because they both liked Tamahome, it seems so dumb. XD
