Jere 1: i have PETASOS turn 2, he answers with ANGLEPOD which gives me the letter i need for U(N)POLITE. both blanks for me while he struggles. w 483-284.

I didn't know you had a phony in our first game. I screwed up that game in enough other ways to not deserve winning. That last game would be a lot more traumatic if it was against someone else for much higher stakes.

i thought it was good when i played it - i thought it was iritises and iritides*. apparently not.

rpd played iritides against me in orlando. she actually played iridites first and i challenged it off but let the second one go. or maybe it was the other way around.

I blame that on her then, because I knew I saw it on a board once. That's the major flaw in memory - knowing that I saw it somewhere, but not the context.

This made me laugh so, even though I know it shouldn't. I'm trying to figure out if I'm more embarrassed by my 2-3 vs. Joel Horn or my 2-3 vs. sr_orangepants. I'll get back to you. :)

I love reading your tournament reports; best out there, IMHO.

i want to make it to new year's. i'd say i'm a 50% yes right now (how's that for certainty?) -- if you come to chicago over my winter break, we could play for fun! i guess it isn't that close for you, but it's closer than Maine!

I've won 17 of the last 19 against Joel Horn, including each of the last ten. And yet he owns someone who beat me three times this weekend alone.
