NPS 2010 - Coming Home

The ride home was going to be a chore any way we cut it. We were leaving at 5 AM from the hotel, looking down the barrel of at least 13 hours to get home. I knew the rest of my team was going to basically stay up all night and be knocked out in the car, so I got to play a lot more of my iTunes than I did on the way up. wow~i didn't realize your drive was that far.i'm slowly trying to demystify the midwest.not quite as huge as the west,but being the mid, bigger than the east.interesting.:)
cheese castles.i was too skerred to get cheese in wisconsin.dumb, but i'm breaking in a cooler & didn't know how it would hold up.kinda sketch.

Our cousins in Wisconsin don't even refrigerate cheese all the time. And it tastes better! Next time GET THE CHEESE!

Oh honey, we didn't refrigerate either. We just drove home faster.
But by the time we got there we had about 7 hours left to go. Small price to pay for cheese.

Yes, the cheese castle! I bought a girl a snowglobe from there once. Totally did not score the points I thought it would. She was from Wisconsin and everything.

I used to drive by there several times a year, rolling from Chicago to Kenosha WI for work. The other great local landmark: The Richard Bong State Recreation Area, a mere 15 minutes down the road. I don't even smoke, and I still had to go and take a picture with "BONG RECREATION" in the background.
