“You okay, mate? Jack been working you too hard?” Owen asked slyly.
“Just tired,” Ianto replied, “and a little hot.”
“Headache? Sore throat?” Owen looked closer, suddenly all business.
Ianto nodded, wincing in pain.
“Loss of appetite? Muscle pains?” Owen continued.
“Yeah,” Ianto groaned as Owen felt the Welshman’s swollen neck.
“Mm-hmm,” Owen smiled darkly.
“Yes,” Ianto prompted, suddenly very nervous.
“As we work for Torchwood I’m going to run a few tests but I think you have mononucleosis.”
“Which is?”
“Glandular fever. The kissing disease.”
Ianto blanched. “Jack did this?”
“Well, who else have you been kissing?”
