I am once again waiting for the repair man.  This one is online for my new HP Officejet J6450 All-in-One.  It supposed to be plug 'n play ~ except it's not.  I have plugged and played, but it won't play back via a working connection.  I tried de-installing and re-installing it.  nothing.  Ironically, the applications recognize it as a valid printer ( Read more... )

So those of you in the know, I had water damage in my basement.  Not a flood, thank heavens.  But it is going to take 3 companies to restore me.  Actually, I am going to be able to have a better basement after this is done.

Part 2 of the Basement Water Removal Update:  Had the ServPro guys from Manassas come out.  They gave me a heart-pounding estimate of $2,500 to do water removal/carpet restoral activities.  This doesn't include new carpeting.  Called my State Farm office, and they took my claim ~ less than an hour later, I had authorization to proceed, after paying ( Read more... )

Ok, so I spent Tuesday night with camperamy  and howling28 .  We had some great food, a lot of laughs, and I got my laptop RAM upgraded, and tuneup.  WooT!  Now I run at blazing speeds (for me).  A great time overall.

So after working my ass off this summer, things are finally slowing down.  My boss spent less time yelling at me, and gave me a 4+ (out of 5) as a rating.  She said almost apologetically, she couldn't give me a 5, due to my lack of knowledge management contributions.  I told her I was happy with the 4+; I'm a great employee, but I am not ( Read more... )
