UPDATED: June 2, 2016

Hello, 4th Streeters!

White smoke has gone up from the chimney of the 4th Street Chapel, and we have a final panel list.

Remember, the 4th Street panel structure is one programming track of ten pre-built panels, followed on Sunday by the alchemically generated "...But That's a Different Panel!"

FRIDAY

Sounds fantastic!

I'd especially love to be a fly on the wall for the "Disability in Speculative Fiction" panel -- as a reader who lives with disability and chronic pain, it's always good (although sometimes agonizingly-familiar to read) when authors Get It Right.

(Lois McMaster Bujold is one of my favorites in this regard -- she's written a number of disabled or differently-abled characters, and their various struggles and adaptations feel very real and authentic, even when there are compensations of future-medicine or magic that don't exist in the real world.)

It's nice to see you pop up! Hoping things are going as well as possible for you :)

Cheers,

This looks really good, Scott.

The ones I particularly like are:
•Writing as a Light Trance State
•Writing to strength, Writing to weakness
•Large-scale structures and Series Planning
•Voice vs. Character
•Truth, Lies, and Meta
•Implied ideology and narrative convention

I also had another idea for a panel: "Steven Brust: Saint or Savior?" What do you think? Too emo?

Those are some great panels.

As a person with a chronic illness everyone avoids, I'll be interested to see what is included in the disabilities panel.

These look great! And if panelists are needed on Dig Two Graves or Multi-Creative Household, I have at least a little experience with both.
