This is one of my all time favorite mathematician jokes. I absolutely adore this joke, and I love telling it to students. Let me know if you are like my students and need some explaining.

Two people go in. +2. 3 people come out. -3. 2-3=-1. 0 is empty. +1 person will make -1 people equal to zero. So there needs to be one person to go into the house because right now there is -1 people in the house.

Oh yes! I die laughing every time. The only thing that makes it better are the blank looks from my students as I tell it to them.
