Game changer
The facility where mom and dad are at decided to not let third party folks in. Namely hospice folks. The facility told the residence on Wednesday. Dad had a panic attack, could not catch his breath and was not doing well physically or emotionally. Would not answer his phone. We, the children, did not get notice until late last night. Mom2
For the first time in my memory, school was cancelled, state testing cancelled, and mom was put in a hospital bed on hospice care. The facility was locked down. Dad was left on his own to care for mom with no relief from any of us. Her health is deteriorating daily, her pain increasing, and it seems though she can’t find that door.

Mom
At Christmas time, I knew mom was declining in health when she and dad could not make it for Christmas Eve. I decided I would give her something to look forward to and that was an anniversary party.

Rough September
They decided I have c-diff. Originally brought on by super strong antibiotics after appendix surgery. Then over Labor Day I had a severe kidney infection and the antibiotics brought c-diff back to active status. I just did not know I had it. July 4th
It was a fairly calm day. A good day shared with my parental units, D’s sister, my brother, his wife, and Holly. Cindy Holly and I were in the pool when the storm hit!
