Man Indited on Charges of Great Googly-Moogly

Dear diary,

It's been 10 days since my last post. I don't really know what I've been up to, but that is about the same time frame in which I got a Sega Dreamcast and twitcht6895 got out of classes for the summer. I've been having a little too much fun playing Tokyo Extreme Racer 2, something about driving around way too fast aimlessly, looking for other ( Read more... )

Sake???? I did not see any Sake! It must have been after my kids turned into pumpkins. Otherwise I so would have been there!

Mmm, I was hiding it. It was that blue bottle I had. I wasn't expecting to see so many faces, so I wasn't as keen on sharing as I had been when I showed up. I shared some with Kelly and gave razl his first taste of the necatar of the gods rice.

The downfall to having chidrens I suppose..... I hope razl made it to work the next day (have not heard from him the last few days)! The gods nectar eh? how do you make that (gods) so it is crossed out? I need me some learnin'! Maybe next time we are without kids we will get us some Sake (yeah I don't know how to make the little mark above the E in Sake either. I am lame!).

is the tag used to make strike-through text. I usually look at this html guide for a list of tags. Not all of them work quite right in live-journal though, such as the tag.

The é is a unicode character, I just copied and pasted it out of the character map included with linux/unix based
gnome desktop environment, though Windows has one too, it should be in the accessories menu if it's installed. I'm not sure about Mac, I might have to check when I get home.

I'm normally up for some Saké, in fact I just had some of the same brewer's saké tonight, Momokawa. Served cold, every one of their varieties I've had so far have been good: diamond, ruby, perl and silver.

I wonder if she was named after Charmian Carr, an actress in the Sound of Music...

Yes I know the character Leisl all too well being a "Sound of Music" fan but I really wonder what that credit to the Alien Legacy means???

I read "Focault's Pendulum" by Eco last year and it melted my brain a bit. No novel should require me to look up more than one history book to figure out what is going on.

The Name of the Rose is excellent too, that and Fucoult's Pendulum are the only ones I've read by him. Salmon is a bit different because it's a collection of essays instead of a fictional work. Some of them are pretty funny, and others are thought provoking. Eco is interesting. I can't say that they are very similar except in the intellectual vein in which they write, but if you like Eco, you might like Jorge Luis Borges.
