Omg, I am so late with this review, tomorrow it will not even be relevant. But I had SO MANY THOUGHTS and it literally took DAYS to write this and I should just never write reviews. Anyway, a mixture of squee, critique and unpopular opinions (and a defense of Matt) ahead. And of course, spoilers.

Thank you so much! I really feel Matt's just been short-changed really badly all season long because he's basically been ignored or treated as a plot device, so of course when he comes back, people aren't going to care about him and I just wanted to explain what his POV must be like. <3

I don't have so much TVD fan in my f-list, neither in my family who don't give a damn about the show.
So, i so love you and your wonderful topic.
Isobel's death broke my heart, the poor Elena was so stunned.
There was so much in this episode, Matt and Caroline.... heartbreaking, Jeremy and Bonnie, i love this ship a lot and it's a first because i'm a slasher.
Gosh, the Salvatore kill me again with their pretty faces and their love for Elena, they GIVE the house to HER.... wanted to scream.
Katherine.... my jaw was open like a fucking fish.... gosh !
John, i love to see him around, perhaps because i love Anders so much, the actor is not even my type but i love him a lot.
ALARIC..... why ? it's not going to be ok for him, crap, i love him.

Thank you! I forgot to mention Elena's reaction but yes, you see how she wanted to help or do SOMETHING and she just had to stand there and watch Isobel burn, poor bb. And YES, THE SALVATORES. GIVING ELENA THEIR HOME. I'M STILL FLAILING. That was wonderful. And yeah, a lot of my John love stems from David Anders, I loved him since Alias XD And I'm so worried for Alaric! *clutches him*

AND YESSSSS. MATT. MATT IS SO TRAGIC, OMG. HE REALLY HAS NOTHING GOING FOR HIM (And I don't hate Tyler either, I like him a lot, but well, Tyler betrayed her too, there's a reason she kicked him out of her house). I kinda want Caroline and Matt to give it another go again, even though it'd end super tragically, because I don't like the idea they shouldn't try at least simply because it won't end well--I would just like them to appreciate the time they have, you know? BUT MOSTLY I WANT MATT TO BE INVOLVED WITH HIS FRIENDS' LIVES AGAIN. Romance optional. AND AWWW, YOU FANTASY. STEFAN AND CAROLINE IN THE BFF SUNSET. I think my biggest wish is for Stefan/Elena/Damon to be together, because OT3, but MATT AND ELENA TOGETHER WOULD WORK WELL TOOOOO, I think my wrote that fic, actually.

yeah, i definitely agree re: matt/caroline. they should enjoy the time they have together, even though it will end in tragedy. HELLO, MY STEFAN/ELENA FEELINGS, IS THAT YOU? and yeah, as much as i super ship the OT3, and i honestly think an incestuous threesome is way more likely than a matt/elena endgame, i am just desperately holding on to this pipe-dream of a thing called elena's humanity. i know it is a lost cause, but show will literally have to pry it from my cold, dead hands. or elena's. :( whateves, humans with humans, and vampires with vampires, because i am boring like that.
