[Tony can always rely on Pepper to remind him of all the important things. He hadn't exactly forgotten the date. The time, on the other hand? He lets that slip away from him frequently. After finishing his work, he makes it home pretty quickly. Of course, he grabbed a bouquet of flowers from the market on the way! Just in case she was mad.]

I hope that wasn't supposed to be a joke. Because if it was, you shouldn't quit your day job.

[Which is also his night job, lately. Pepper smiles at him, quirking an eyebrow at the flowers.]

Are those for me?

[She doesn't sound mad. But maybe she'll remember this for next time.]

[Tony offers her the flowers and shrugs.]

Just thought you'd like them.

[He knows that it takes a lot for her to get really mad him at, though. And when she is, it's not without good reason.]

[She takes his arm, turning him in the direction of the dining room.]
