[She was still feeling sick from the encounter earlier. All of the waves, the smells, the emotional upheavel-from not one, but at least two sources-it felt and smelt terrible. She had a hard time getting in too. Maybe it wasn't a bad idea to get a room for awhile, like Arthur suggested. Maybe She could find some place where she could just plant her feet and breathe.

It wouldn't be here, that was for certain. Prisilla was still pulsing with that aura, and she felt it close on her on every heart beat. There was Isley, who she despised for making her out to be small and weak. So. Once she was in the room (and no longer tracking the animals with her eyes) she goes directly for the bed, skirting around Isley.

Even if she had leaves and snow melting in her hair, she was all the grim and serious as she could be.]

What happened.

[Rigaldo doesn't bother to hide his yoki when he enters, finally, looking barely touched by the cold outside but just as severe as ever. Perhaps even more so. His clothes are damp in places - stained with snow and blood - and in his hand he's carrying the oversized sword of a warrior as easily as if it was his own.]

[It's Priscilla's, as a matter of fact. Those who look closely enough will recognize her symbol on it.]

[He pauses only briefly in the doorway to eye the other arrivals - warriors all, and no doubt the only one who would be pleased to see him at all is Priscilla. The look he gives the rest is almost challenging, but he keeps his empty hand tightened into a fist, a visible sign of restraint.]

Quite a gathering.

[And then he turns in the direction of the bed, addressing Isley and Priscilla primarily, but speaking clearly enough for everyone to hear.]

I've cleared the site. There's nothing for the mist to take.

[And no sign of the damn thing that did this.]

[The sight of her sword, strange though it might be, is an almost physical relief to Priscilla - enough to jar her from the discomfort at Miata's... direct approach. And if the circumstances were different - if this were a social gathering, if Isley weren't present, or if she weren't, she would be... concerned. Though she isn't entirely sure whether she'd be worried for Rigaldo or for the warriors in the room.]

[As it stands, she gives a little nod to Rigaldo.]

...thank you.

[And then looks at Miata, and at Helen. At Tabitha, whom she barely knows, and takes a breath.]

It was an ambush. That's the only way I can describe it. I was on a routine patrol, and then...

[She shakes her head.]

I didn't sense anything. I didn't hear anything.

[Isley has discarded his bloodstained cloak, but the shirt he wears is still damp and darkened with Priscilla's lifeblood. The very scent of it wafts through the room, but for Isley it's not a focal point. He acknowledges Rigaldo's entrance, fingers running through Priscilla's hair, across her cheek. He listens to the start of her recount, but says nothing.]

[It's a puzzle they're trying to piece together. The pieces are all there, too, but some of them are turned over, unclear. It will take time to flip them right side up again, time to unveil everything, but they have time, and he can exercise patience if the end result is the assailant's severed head between his hands, its guts hanging from his mouth.]

[His eyes briefly meet Miata's when she skirts around him, but he looks at her as if she were a small thing, dismissible, before his attention returns to Priscilla.]

[Everyone is silent...waiting for her to tell them more, to tell them all she remembers.]

[Helen has no problem coming to Headquarters. She has no problems with Priscilla's bedroom either. She doesn't even have a problem with Isley being there, and that's saying something.]

[It's saying that Teresa's death and whatever caused it took priority.]

[Helen's pacing. Pacing and trembling and feeling more unsteady than she has in a long time. And she's thinking things she doesn't dare say for fear of tipping the balance of the room or herself. She isn't sure which.]

[Did you see? Did you see that? What the hell is going on!]

[Helen jerks a little at the touch, but sighs and lets her shoulders slump a moment later.]

Sorry.

[Flora. She's not one of the ghosts for the simple fact that she didn't survive Pieta. But she was there. She saw the horror of it. And Helen always feels something extra for any warrior who shares those memories with her.]

[Helen calms herself as much as she can.]

This sucks.

[An understatement. But nothing could possibly do these feelings justice anyway.]

[Oh, look, a new little warrior.]

[Roxanne saunters into the room, the very picture of composition and confidence. A true Number One warrior. And if she suffered any wounds in her tangles with Priscilla and Teresa (she did), they're carefully concealed beneath her clothing, and beneath her smile.]

[...they say the criminal always returns to the scene of the crime. This is almost the same thing.]

[In any case, she comes to stop beside Tabitha, leaning against a wall and watching the crowd as well. It's quite a thrill, really. In fact, she only barely manages to hide her smile.]

...Hello there!

[She gives Tabitha a look for a moment before she stares straight ahead.]

Did you know the warrior who died? Or this girl?

Really? But you should be!

[Such a brighteyed look!]

It's best for everyone here to be aware of where the power lies among those from their own worlds, don't you think?

[Yes, Isley. She is trying to get your attention. The energy in this room would once have been enough to send her in the opposite direction, but that fear is buried beneath grief, shock and even greater fear.

What could have done this?]

[Irene's entrance is the first Isley acknowledges with words.]

You're all going to have to be quite careful out there until we find out who or what is responsible. Especially those of you with more outstanding abilities, or so it would appear.

[It's evident that there aren't many of the Claymores Isley would go to the rescue of. Priscilla is one. Irene...well, he does not dislike her. It was the same with Teresa, but her head still rolled. And while Priscilla is close to the both of them, which may have made Teresa a target if Priscilla was attacked first...which could mean Irene is another likely target...it doesn't mean Isley is inclined to do anything but pull their bodies from the Mist when it is all said and done.]

Whatever it was, it shouldn't take long finding out.
