[he might, but no worries-- he's a great(ish?) instructor.

very few people truly enjoy their jobs, fewer still show up early just to ensure everything's "running okay", despite knowing how generally well-handled the place is. safe to say, this boss is one of the better ones he's had (and hot, too-- always a bonus), so... yep. things are good? the place is packed, no one's in "fighty" drunk mode yet, and his tip jar overfloweth.

could he ask for more in a place like this?

Hey! You came! [cue the smile, partnered with an unconscious straightening of the t-shirt/hitching up of the too-loose jeans as he makes his way over] You want a brandy? Or... some sorta... fruity thing? I can make you a fruity thing?

[though she doesn't strike him much as the type who gets her kicks off a pineapple buzz]

[she so notices that and smiles for it, and she stops tapping the counter, her wrist against the wood and her fingers curled, ready to start again.]

Yeah! [cue the wrinkled brow] You've... never had one?

[raising an index finger, indicating "okayjustasec", he scoots off down the bar to grab a bit of this, that and the other, tossing something together that he damn well hopes won't set off any allergic reactions.

No joke-- it's happened.

He returns moments later and slides his creation toward that idle hand: a martini glass tinted a delicate blue, filled near-to the brim with something green.]

It's a bit tart, okay? But sweet, too. [kinda like her, but he's not ready to start the cheese going this early on] If you hate it, I'll grab you something else, deal?

[okay, so. the bars in tiberoa, AT LEAST, have cocktails. but shirley's ventures into bars before her death were along the lines of taking her drunk comrades home and telling damia to wait outside; and...serdio's people are not super creative, let's be real. so the idea is a little foreign! but not totally confusing.

still, shirley is...raising both eyebrows when the glass slides toward her. because it's green. and she seems to approach all new foods with some half-curiosity, half-wariness, anyway. really, she trusts you, desmond! just...why is it green?

but okok. raising the glass and taking a sip. then, a considering pause!]

It isn't bad.
