[ Mockingbird loves a party. He also has a fondness for young people with green hair, as evidenced by his current body. So he practically leaps into the Foxhole, eyes wide and shining, lips parted, anticipating a truly excellent evening.

When he sees Asellus he makes a beeline for her, hopping nimbly up onto the table and swinging his legs over the side so he can face her - a little closer and he'd be right in her personal bubble. But the cheerful grin he gives her is made to disarm. ]

The biological sciences! The human body is so fascinating. . . Oh, I ran a business too. A carnival of sorts! It took up all my time.

[ takes another long swig; his cheeks are a little flushed but he doesn't seem to be affected by the alcohol yet. ]

[Well, that's a far step out of her normal range. She's naturally a little wary of biologists-- scientists and doctors in general, actually. She'll just have to make sure not to get cut in front of him, she decides. Awkward questions are awkward.]

A carnival? Yeah, I'd guess it might take up lots of time. I hear those get pretty intensive, when you're putting one together. I can't even imagine. I don't do all that much preparing for anything.

So what do you do here? Do you have a job, or...?

[ a bemused little tinkle of a laugh. it's just this side of unpleasant. ]

A job! No, oh no, not really. Or not at all. But Crow-kun will hire me for his noodle bar, so I don't have to worry about that~

[Yeah, that laugh has her a little edged.]

Crow-kun...? [Who's that?] A friend from home, then?

That's right! We . . . were Deadmen together. [ he blushes and grins, as if this is maybe something special or just perverted. ]

Ah, but you probably know him better as Senji, right? [ a wink. ] That cantankerous old man.

Eh? [She blinks. Deadmen? Maybe it was something like an Order, or a Fraternity. From the blush, she's more willing to bet on the latter. Some of them had pretty strange hazing rituals.]

A nickname, then? He certainly acts like a crow, always caw caw cawing about putting on a coat, or not to call him an old man.
