"Mr. Standfast?"

Jason can have another person he doesn't recognize, blond and small but well-dressed and rigid. The tension in his body is incredible, and Quatre looks especially worse for wear than the myriad of people around them. Like he hasn't slept very much and might break in any second. But there is a relief in his expression.

He is starting to remember: small things, early things. David has always been helpful and patient, then and now - why Quatre trusts him, not why he gave him his notebook but part of a greater reason. Why he is so relieved to see him now.

Jason blinks. It's clear that the blond boy is taking to him. It's also clear that he doesn't know the boy or the name that was just used. (Genuine emotions are always the best cover.)

"Were you talking to me?"

Odd.

Quatre is unsure if something has happened (did he forget, too?) or if his voice simply didn't carry. None the less, he steps closer. "Yes... Are you alright?"

Jason frowns for a brief moment, then takes on an expression of confusion and sheepish contact-embarrassment. "I think you have me confused with someone else."

Day by day she'd been getting used to the atmosphere of the city, learning its layout, its habits. Its people. Most of them pointedly ignored her. Many were suspicious of her, but she never found it to be a source of discomfort - in fact, it was just like being home, when they gave you that look.

So when she sees a familiar look on someone who doesn't exactly belong here, she can't quite keep her interest in check. She follows him.

Force of habit, perhaps.

He knew as almost as soon as it started. First it was just a sense, an instinct hammered in over the years. But it didn't take long to discover the source. A bonde woman, caught as a reflection in the windows they passed, or out of the corner of his eye when he turned his head to the side.

Still, it paid to be careful.

Jason stopped at a street vendor selling various fruit. Feigning indecisiveness, he waited to see what the blonde woman would do next.

She stayed some feet behind him, not exactly concealing herself from view at this point, but not aggressively trailing him, either. She could feel nothing from him - no aura, hazy or otherwise.

He hasn't done anything, really, but had he noticed her? He must have. Teresa tips her head slightly and then steps forward, walking easily with her trademark smile, not threatening. Exactly.

"I hope you don't mind the company, I only wanted to make sure you weren't going to eat anyone."

...Points for honesty, right?
