Candle lightjudaspaladinNovember 2 2010, 02:44:23 UTC
The altar already has a few small votive candles on it, burning brightly. Some have names attached by ribbon at the base. Others remain nameless, for those who will not, or cannot be named. Feel free to step up to the altar and light a candle or two for your dearly departed. The candles can be found on the table to the left, as well as the ribbon, paper and pen. Attach a name if you wish, leave it blank, put as many names as you want. Say a prayer for the lost one and remember them, if for only this one day.

Just one candle, unlabled, for Ellen and Trinity. He doesn't think they'd mind sharing it too much.
After a moment he lights a second one, for Trinity alone. Because if Aaron were here he'd want to light one for the father he never got to know. Lucian's just doing it for him.

One candle. Unlabeled, but lit with those of Rabona, with her comrades, in mind. That Miria did not meet an unpleasant end after she departed, that Clare and the others all survived. That they survive this place.
She doesn't believe in God, but she does put some stock in the power of faith.

[Anderson stands outside of the church ready to greet the parishoners as they head out back into the world. He has a pleasent smile, the attendence of the service has pleased him, it's the most they had so far. Please stop by for a chat, he'd love to hear from you.]

[The bells have rung, the candles are lit and prayers have been said. A few people remain, either just loitering or catching up with friends they spotted. The weather isn't too bad either, perhaps a little nippy but it's a cold that somehow encourages gathering together. Stay and share memories.]
He hasn't thought about All Saints and church and all of that in a very, very long while (that he can remember, anyway). He can remember his mom leaving a candle on on that night. Maybe she even attended the service, one year. But, what the hell, it's close from his place. It feels a bit familiar.
He stands up, his hands in his pockets, watching the candles.
[Her hands are in her pockets as she shuffles by. Mostly because it's cold, but she can't really tell if that's why she's shaking. She almost passes him without speaking, but decides it would be ruder than interrupting.]

Do you have a candle that I could take to someone?
[She supposes that she could have just taken one, but it seems wrong somehow. She's not sure why, exactly.]

O' course, lass.
[He disappears briefly into the church and reappears with an extra votive. He smiles as he hands it to her.]
Here. Dinnae knaew weh ran oot sae quick.
[He does sound a little pleased though. He didn't think it'd be this popular.]

I see your kindness is rivaled only by your dancing ability.
[And quietly, soberly:]
Thank you.
