[It's the first time he's used the video function, and it's a little difficult to get it to work when he's resorting to a pencil held between his teeth to stab at it, but he eventually gets it to work. He really doesn't look happy. Actually, he's bordering more on 'I want to curl up and die'. There's a moment as he gets the Forge situated, then he raises both arms so that his cast-encased hands are in view.]

Two lizardmen and a mace that looked like a sledgehammer... and then I woke up to hear that my dog is missing.

[It takes a bit of fumbling before he manages to get the video working. Working hands. He wishes he had them. When it comes on, he takes a moment to hold his hands up into the Forge's view, the casts making it almost look as though he has no hands at all.]

I wouldn't have been able to leave the door open because I can't open it.

[A pause to try and think it over. Painkillers tend to muddle his brain and while they've already worn off, the pain itself isn't helping.]

There should be several things in my apartment. It's not exactly livable right now, though.
