The Mist has been a busy ... entity-ish thing lately. All the new blood coming through the Door is sure to stir things up a bit ( Read more... )

So you've noticed it too? That's it's acting strange - uhm, stranger.

I haven't been here long enough to pick up on any seasonal patterns. But I've read damn near everything I could find in the library. Nothing helpful. Nada

drawing him out might be dangerous .

[blah blah. this is typed, if only because she's so used to it now.]

It might be... but if anyone can handle it, it's me.

Besides, technically I'm already dead so I've got nothing to lose.

what if you die again ?

[She more means what if someone wounds your soul or takes it. But that isn't really clear. She hasn't spent nearly enough time in the church to convey those thoughts.]

Then I'll just come back again. Most likely. Death isn't the end of everything. There's ghosts after all.

Do you really think there's some kind of being orchestrating all of this?

[It's an honest question. She has been thinking about it from the science point of view because religion isn't exactly something she subscribes to.]

Putting it another way.... What are the chances that there isn't and it's a random natural phenomenon?

Nothing about this place is natural, if there is such a thing.

I'd say the chances of it being a tempero-spacial phenomenon or an incidental dimension are better than it's being the personal fiefdom of some sort of god. Awfully small-time god, I'd say, if it were true. Just once city on one tiny little planet?

A neglected dimension, maybe, but someone had to be involved in constructing it. The seals are too tight to be some incidental bubble.

You'd be surprised at the things that can occupy a god.

I have no idea what it might be, but I doubt they're here... physically.

Could be that we're all in a little glass marble and the mist is the borders of the dimension. Like Men in Black.

I have found godlike being-ing-zuh to be more trouble than they are worth, and often not understandable, ah-bull, at all.

But perhaps you are better kwah, qualified to converse with one than most.

Of course no one understands us. We're operating under a completely different set of rules than mortals. Time, space, physics, gravity - don't really apply to creatures who exist on a spiritual plane rather than a physical one. The physical world is a fun playground though. At least, that's how most beings like me see it.

The own-lee one I have spoh, spoken with liked to manipulate, pyu-lay-tuh, others into doing-ing what he wanted. I think I have told you about this before.

I am still not convinced, vince-duh, that there is such a one behind this place. I am more likely to bee-leeve our being-ing here is a side effect of temporal inn, instability.

You mentioned the guy. Sounds like a right dick - I would know.

I'm not much of a believer in coincidences.
