[ The forge comes on as it's dropped to the ground, bouncing a few times before it finally settles. Anyone familiar with the flooded section of the ruins should be able to tell where Kahlan is, even though the forge is currently upside down. A brown boot steps into view for a moment and then turns as Kahlan looks around. ]
Cara?! [ There's a

[CARA?]
[Someone...who knows he--hold on, it could be a different Cara. Not likely, but...it could be. Better find out.]
...Hey! Hey, that Forge. Uh, the device! Pick it up, you're gonna need that, trust me!
[Oh, way to be formal, Kunsel.]

...you should ask Angel.

Then my friends won't notice that I've left? How can you be sure of that? [ She's got important things to do back home and the idea of not being there to help Richard is almost more than she can stand. ]
I'm not overly worried about creatures, dangerous or otherwise. But I appreciate that.

As for your friends...well, I can't be sure. Nobody can, but it's the best that we can hope for. And from all I've seen, it seems to hold true. People come and go; some stay longer than others and some return. Sometimes they have memories of being here, sometimes they don't, but from what I've heard, nobody remembers being here once they return home. It's like...it never happened.
[Does he sound sad? Maybe he is. Maybe. Just a little. But then he's grinning again.]
Are you a fighter, Kahlan? To travel with Cara, I imagine you'd have to be.

What sort of person could hold that much power? [ It's said more to herself than anything and she glances away from the Forge, as if she's expecting some answer to appear in the air in front of her. She frowns slightly and looks back towards it after a few moments. ]
I'm a Confessor, actually. I avoid fighting whenever I can manage, but I have been trained and am ready for combat.

[He doesn't miss her other question, even if it was mostly spoken to herself.]
It's not known for sure whether it is a person, the Twins - a young pair that have devastating powers themselves, or if it is the Mist itself, which sometimes seems...alive.
[He quickens his step a little just thinking of it.]
What's a Confessor?

Perhaps it's a combination of all of those. It's hard to believe that one thing, person or otherwise, could wield that much power. [ Unless they had something like the Power of Ordin, but the boxes were destroyed. And pulling people from different worlds wasn't part of it. ]
It's an ancient order of women created by a very powerful wizard during the Great War to serve as the bringers of truth and the rulers of the Midlands.

[There is a pause as Kunsel deliberates, but he's smiling. It doesn't take him long to come to the conclusion that he likes the sound of her order. And no, it's not because it's comprised of women...although that's definitely a bonus.]
Sounds like just the kind of thing we could use here, really. I know that you want to leave but...I'm still grateful the Door brought someone like you to us. I'm sorry if that's selfish sounding, but some of the people that have come through...
[He trails off, and it his his turn to look away briefly.]
Anyway, I do hope you can return soon, you know, for your sake and that of your friends...but don't hold it against me for being a little happy that someone decent finally showed up. 'Kay?
[Not that other decent people haven't shown up, but there is a notable return that leaves a bad taste in his mouth and makes his skin crawl, his heart seize, his nerves tense...]
