Today is Monday the 1st, I believe.

[ He pauses then, closing his eyes as he recalls the contents of the jail cell. What has Freya done, to be punished in such a way? ]

Something has happened, as well, to a decent portion of the city's residents. Age regression, I suppose one could call it. Adults have become children, and remember nothing of their previous stay in Anatole.

Of course, though, there are those who remain unaffected by the recent events.

Almost a month. [ It was hard to tell the passage of time, though she had begun to judge it watching the guards change shifts. Sleeping - she didn't do much of it. ]

Something happened? [ She was torn between relief and worry. If Merlin became a child, maybe that was why he hasn't come to see her. But there were still those who hadn't changed. ]

Do you...do you know who have changed?

[ Worse, what if it was permanent? What if Merlin had become a child and forgotten her ...? ]

[ He laughs, in an effort to brighten the girl's spirits some, and combs a hand through the length of his hair. ]

[ She stretches a little, because sitting in the same position for hours makes her cramp up. Hesitation follows but ... she had to know. ]

His name is Merlin. ... he's a friend of Arthur. Either of them ...

[See Freya? He's here. Even if he's...tiny.]

[ Who is this tiny adorable little boy - and why did he look so familiar. Freya still stares a moment. She's about to tell him what she tells everyone who asks - but he's just a child. ]

... I did some bad things. I'm being punished. [ A pause, and then a bit suspiciously. ]

What's your name...?

How long are they going to keep you there? Surely you've learned your lesson. [No one can look that sad and not have seen the error of their ways.]

I'm Merlin. What's yours?

[ She manages a small smile for the question. ]

They ... they haven't said. I don't think they're going to. [ She wants to see the sun and her duckies an-- ]

Merlin...? [ ... could it be? ] I'm... I'm Freya.
