[ He pauses then, closing his eyes as he recalls the contents of the jail cell. What has Freya done, to be punished in such a way? ]
Something has happened, as well, to a decent portion of the city's residents. Age regression, I suppose one could call it. Adults have become children, and remember nothing of their previous stay in Anatole.
Of course, though, there are those who remain unaffected by the recent events.
Almost a month. [ It was hard to tell the passage of time, though she had begun to judge it watching the guards change shifts. Sleeping - she didn't do much of it. ]
Something happened? [ She was torn between relief and worry. If Merlin became a child, maybe that was why he hasn't come to see her. But there were still those who hadn't changed. ]
Do you...do you know who have changed?
[ Worse, what if it was permanent? What if Merlin had become a child and forgotten her ...? ]
[ He laughs, in an effort to brighten the girl's spirits some, and combs a hand through the length of his hair. ]
Might you be concerned about one person, in particular? A great deal of those that have changed are currently being cared for at the city's clinic, and others still have made appearances over the Forge. I'd be more than happy to assist you with finding someone, if you'd like!
