[She's almost halfway there, running running running before she speaks again. She can't bear this, she has to know before she sees or she doesn't know if she'll be able to manage herself when she gets there.]
Doctor Reid... the injured men. Do you know their names? What do they look like?
[Pause. She knows what GSW to the head means. Knows it with mortal certainty. Her voice goes quiet and hard as steel. You'd better not lie to her, Spencer, or things might get ugly.]
How bad are their injuries? Are they likely to survive?
[The First Aid kit might well be useless, (not a lot she can do if it's a shot to the head. - or a lot she can do anyway save try and stop the bleeding, but they'd need a real medic there fuck) but she grabs it from the bike anyway. For the moment is something. Goes on foot - running - because she lives close. Close enough that she can hear the commotion in the street a block in. (One doctor's out of the running and the go-to healer's not here.) Forge out, running down a mental list, running toward Reid and stopping. These things are worse in Anatole, because the victims are hardly ever strangers. Worse now because she recognizes them both.
She'll head toward the nearest one that's bleeding, Reid.]
[Fuck. She's going to check anyway. She's knelt over Hughes at the moment, but her gaze trails toward Roy. Toward Riza. She's spoken to them before - and this is awful.
Oh, the bloodflow is stopping but it's not in the way she wanted or hoped.
This just isn't fair. She doesn't like feeling small or insignificant. Helpless.]
All of them dragging their heels on finishing the damn emergency healer's list.
On the mystical energies front, any presence might be better than none. He wastes time apparating onto the next street, because after what Reid's forge just showed, appearing at them out of the shadows seems inadvisable. He breaks into a loping run to get there seconds after Lilly, moments before Riza.
He takes in Reid and Lilly attending Roy; accordingly moves to Hughes and kneels next to him, wand ready to-
-nothing. It's too late.
He moves toward the others, but recognises as quickly there's nothing he can do-as Riza arrives.
He stands back to give her space.
Utterly useless, he shouldn't have come-but these forges… when one actually happens to be watching in a moment of crisis, how can you not…?
In order to be of some use, any kind, he extends a hand very carefully toward Spencer's shoulder.

[Glances up at Lupin, then back down at the bodies of his fellow Scorched.]
I've had worse.

[starts to put his hand to Reid's elbow to hold the arm steady, then is startled by Shirley's arrival.]
