I am so glad to hear things are looking up! The idea of getting a second job if I could find one is becoming more like a necessity of late for me ;/
If you are looking into an apartment, just tell them you like the complex and what not but this ($XXX) is the maximum you can afford but you could move in immediately and sign a year lease and they will pretty much fall all over themselves to fill vacancies. Our lease was just resigned and they initially had our rent going up 30 bucks, but when I told them we "couldn't afford it with my work cutting my consulting budget, but that we would prefer not to vacate", we are now paying $30 less than our original rent.
I know a good roommate if you need one. He's a really cool guy, and he's in SyntheticHuman Pictures with me. In April, he's moving out of the current place he's in because him and Hayden are in a house and Hayden's moving in with his dad for the time being. So Jarod's looking for a place around $200 or less a month. He doesn't know where to go yet, but if you're moving out of your guesthouse let me know what the price is you're paying now. He's funny and he's a musician/actor/audio man. Hayden and Jarod remind me of Stan, except in two people. Just throwin' that out there.
