YAY!!!!!! joe is in town today interviewing flunkies and we are probably coming up sunday to look at a house that seems, on the surface to be Absolutely Perfect. we should all get together at some point!! do you have joe's number? he had mentioned seeing about getitng together with you today.
I can only imaging you singing, I can see why the kids are embarrassed. ;)
(Myself, really the only time I sing is in church because I have about 400 other people drowning me out. I love to sing (but, again, only in church), I have a baritone voice and, if I wasn't so damn self-conscious about singing would like to join a barbershop quartet (they always need a low-range singer) - when I auditioned for the church's musical theatre a few years back, the church's music director who heard my voice said I wasn't too bad, so I suppose I should be more pro on my singing.
And it is very much ironic that I don't like to sing considering that I'm considered one of the world's premiere experts on national anthems (judging by the number of interviews I've given worldwide and the email I recieve from my national anthems web site), one would think that singing comes with the territory. It's like someone who is an expert on fish that's afraid of water or something.
Opposite issue here. Having a voice this chirpy sometimes makes it difficult for me to be taken seriously, I believe...it's good to work it to my advantage, particularly since most of the pop songs out there for the past many years are in a higher register than most, especially of my age, can hit.
