Sing
City has been doing slightly more of late. No, I'm still not going to explain that. Suffer.
So I hadn't posted about last weekend's festivities. I was at my friend’s cookout party at his place, and as it turns out, his band is performing from his deck. (He plays harmonica, and does a damn good job of it.) Anyway, the band is about to start again, and the call goes out: "Say, does anybody know the lyrics to 'Come Together'?" Well, what the hell, right?
I ended up doing that and later, "Comfortably Numb" as a duet with their regular female vocalist (whom I also knew, from different circumstances)...turned out pretty good, from what the folks at the party said. And I got to embarrass the kids, which is a special added bonus. :-)
I was thinking this morning about singing lessons again, because if I'm going to do this, I probably need them...but I have no good clue when I would fit them in. efbq has taken up the mantra of "after the election" for just about everything; she's likely right, but I also know that it doesn't really matter - my interests will expand to fit the space available.
And visualwords and visible_bruises are coming back to town! Happidansu!!
