Bad times are the wrong point to evaluate things. On every measure I have available things are about the best they've ever been for me, which means it's a good time to evaluate. Unfortunately the computation comes up with the disagreeable conclusion that it's all been pretty pointless/worthless.

And Angsty McAngstypants, er Nathen is totally wrong. Hockey is roller derby times ten, and as a kid who grew up skating at roller rinks, I can hoinestly say that guys are quite cpable of doing this, it is just no one wants to watch guys, they ain't cute.

that it's a "cute" issue, but the point at which I convinced myself that it wasn't something I wanted to try was the realization that mens roller derby would indeed be roller-hockey without sticks. A whole different attitude, and one that I doubt would be much fun to either watch or play.

As the husband of someone in training for roller derby I must say that men could indeed do roller derby. I'm a better skater then she is from years of playing hockey, I'm bigger and faster. But I am no where near as cute and no one would be hoping to see my skirt fly up when I fall down. It would just not be the same.

I played hockey (roller blade or ice) and can skate, so I am in agreement here.

No adversity, though I am a bit cranky lately. I get like that when it gets too hot (ie above room tempurature), like it's been outside (often 30), and inside (no A/C)

More happy about the trip and HOPE no adversity there!

If no-poll-posting is the only thing keeping you from making yourself a paid member, I'd have to say it's not worth it (or, ask yourself, if the money is worth it just for polling.) Seems like a fun, but not necessary feature. (I'm quite happy with being free.)

Well according to the website, the Homicides look more like a fun idea than a going concern, but just because nobody will pay to watch it doesn't mean that you can't have fun doing it for pete's sake.
