Today I bought a clock.  It is large and round and has roman numerals and is quite classic looking.  That was the hard thing, really.  Amy wanted a wall clock, and it was my turn to buy the home decorating whatever, but since it's my clock it had to be up to my standards, without, y'know, costing an arm and a leg.  And I found lots of clocks that

Have you ever read any Eckhart? I think you'd like him. He talks a lot about the need to "go out" from the things you clings to, so as to make room for God.
