Hey, I just wanted to confirm...I thought I saw a mention of Merlin being considered scifi for the purposes of this comm? Is that still true?

Thanks! :)

Show name The Middleman
TEAM Villains
Description: Ever find the standard sci-fi tropes a little...well..ridiculous? Wondering what happened to the funny in sci-fi shows? It all got used up in The Middleman, a show from (believe it or not) ABC Family based on the comic book series by Javier Grillo-Marxuach.

Wendy Watson is an artist with a boring temp job at a science laboratory. Her life changes after a freak accident occurs and her cool head gains her the notice of The Middleman, an all-American apple-pie loving milk drinking ex-Marine who solves "exotic problems." Initially blackmailed into becoming his sidekick, Wendy and the Middleman defend the world from mad scientists, trout zombies, evil boy bands, Dr. Phil (sort of) and vampiric puppets. Seriously.

Oh, and Mark Sheppard is in it. Of course.

Show name: V
TEAM: Heroes
Description: I love V because it has everything you could want and more in a show. First off, the visual effects are fantastic. The special effects, sets, camera angles, etc. make it seem like a movie. The characters are interesting, and have the potential for great development. There's the perfect amount of action and drama. It will make you feel uneasy, but in a good way. Oh and there's the whole matter of Elizabeth Mitchell in the lead role, and this reason alone should make you want to watch. Finally, every episode is great. And there's no other show I can honestly say that about.

Show name: Fringe
TEAM: Heroes
Description: I can't imagine anyone not finding Fringe interesting. You know all of that crazy science that you didn't think was possible? On Fringe, it is, but in the wrong hands is used in the worst possible way. The episode format is somewhat similar to House, but each case relates to a bigger picture, a pattern that the FBI is trying to solve. The characters are great too. There's Olivia, an awesome tough and smart FBI agent, Peter, a genius who cheated his way into MIT, and Walter, an absent-minded mad scientist. How can you not watch? ;)

I was going to do Doctor Who 'till I saw this was actually on The List

Show name The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
TEAM Team Sidekick
Description:
Arthur Dent is a being of ape decent just living his life. That is until his house under threat of being demolished and his best friend, Ford Prefect, turns out of be, not from Guildford, but from a small planet somewhere in the vicinity of Beetleguise, on Earth to write a new entry for The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. This works most fortuitously in Arthur's favour as Ford is able to hitch them ride aboard a Vogon ship hovering above Earth's atmosphere waiting to demolish it to make room for an interstellar bypass. From here Arthur travels through space which is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindbogglingly big it is. I mean you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space, listen. Anyway. Arthur travels on a stolen space craft fueled by improbability, meets a clinically depressed robot, a man with two heads ( ... )
