BSG ramblings: Is Kara good for Sam?

Since the debate about the Kara/Lee/Sam usually centers around Kara and her monster stack of issues I shipped Kara/Sam for almost a year before I even thought about this question. Thanks, its funny but while Kara was "dead" I tried to think of another character who would fit Sam the list was pathetically short.

I think that they're only as good for one another as they allow themselves to be. Kara isn't there stroking his ego, and not just making him be the big man out in the open, which would make him feel needed behind the scenes. Being a celeb that's somewhere he probably always felt alone. She won't let it just be on the surface. They both won't compromise, and they both need that.
